thoughts on voting

Voting is one of the most important act an American can do. 


My grandmother born in 1918 and is a Mexican-American from Texas, votes and takes me to vote with her every time. She is proud to vote every season. She exercises her American right with strength and determination. She has a heart for the vulnerable and a righteous rage for the 'Hambrientos" (slang for greedy) of this nation.

"Ay vastante dinero para todos." 

She teaches me so much. Now that she's older she votes absentee. She takes the act of voting seriously, as a woman, as a Mexican-American, as a Texan/Californian, shoot as an American citizen.
